Mill unpolished 1/4" Aluminum Diamond Tread Deck Plate coils 48" x 192" 6061-T6
Aluminum diamond plate, sometimes called aluminum tread plate, aluminum floor plate, or aluminum checker plate, is available in 6061-T6 and 3003-H14 sizes. The 6061-T6 alloy can have a dullor shiny finish and is harder and more durable, and the 3003-H14 has shiny bright finish, and is softer andmore formable.
Diamond aluminium tread plate or floor plate is widely used for a variety of structural, architectural and cosmetic applications. A method has been developed to roll metal plates with an upraised "lug" pattern, providing the customer with several choices to best meet the needs of the project, with specific qualities of cleanability, impact resistance, support strength, and corrosion resistance.
6061-T6 Aluminum Diamond Plate
Although its mill finish is not as shiny as 3003, this product is still slip resistant, durable, corrosion resistant, and strong. It is used for industrial applications. Widespread use includes flooring, loading ramps, stair treads, elevator and freezer flooring. While easy to weld and machine, this product has limited formability. It is available in both stock and custom sizes and shapes.
The 6061 T6 aluminum tread plate has the highest corrosion resistance of all the aluminums that have been heat treated. It is an alloy that has been formed with silicon and magnesium. It has a lower strength than other comparable aluminums, but is still widely used. This is partly due to its corrosion resistance and partly due to its excellent mechanical properties. There are a variety of ways you can form 6061 aluminums, such as through machining and welding. The machinability rating of this alloy is 90 percent. It also has great joining capabilities. If needed, this product can be anodized or have other coatings applied.
The applications 6061 aluminum alloys are frequently used for include base plates, truck components, marine fittings, marine components, marine hardware, electrical connectors, electrical fittings and camera lens mounts. This is only a few of the wide array of applications this alloy is used for. It also has the capability to be used for heavy duty structures that need corrosion resistance and good weight-to-strength ratio.
